The sea is a comfortable 26°C, and the west-coast beaches are at their best. The trade winds are strong this time of year — great for windsurfing and kiteboarding off the windward side, but expect blowing sand on exposed beaches. March is statistically Aruba's driest month — only a handful of rainy days and the most dependable sunshine of the year. Highs reach about 32°C with an extreme UV index, so sun protection matters more than ever. It's still firmly high season, with strong demand from North American and European travelers escaping winter, so prices and crowds remain elevated. The beaches are at their best, the sea is a warm 27°C, and visibility for snorkeling and diving (the Antilla wreck, Boca Catalina) is excellent. The trade winds are at their strongest around this time, which keeps the heat bearable but blows sand on exposed beaches and makes the windward coast choppy — great for windsurfers off the right spots. If you want the lowest chance of rain and the most reliable sun, March delivers — just accept high-season pricing and book ahead. The midday sun is fierce, so plan beach time for morning and late afternoon.
